First impressions of my new surroundings are the starting point of many iterations in my work process, these iterations gradually allow authentic and unspoiled perspectives to develop with layers of complexity and nuance. In this collection “A Stroke of Whimsy”, I am celebrating the unpredictability of life and inviting the viewer to embrace the treasure of unexpected charm. A number of elements like line work contrasting with brushwork, tones in the distance used unexpectedly and collage shapes introducing peculiar elements, all combine to activate new frontiers of contemplation and appreciation.
